Spindle Nut, Left Side, Ball Joint '66 and Later Type 1

Spindles nuts are used to hold the brake drum in place on the front spindle.  Adjustment is critical to hold proper pressure on the wheel bearings.  Remember:  If tightened too tight, the wheel bearings will fail prematurely. Left and right are different, as they are threaded in opposite directions. Remember to also have a thrust washer holding the bearing, and always use a new lock tab to keep the nuts from loosening.
